Ce tableau représente une scène d'intérieur qui invite à la contemplation d'une atmosphère chaleureuse et intime. Au premier plan, on aperçoit une pièce, probablement une salle à manger. Sur la droite, une porte ornée de motifs, peut-être des vitraux ou des carreaux de céramique, attire le regard. Au-dessus, des assiettes décoratives sont accrochées. À gauche, la boiserie s’élève jusque sous un tableau accroché au mur, qui semble compléter le décor de cette pièce.
Mais c'est au centre de l'œuvre que l’on découvre véritablement le sujet principal : une cuisine, ouverte sur la salle à manger. Une femme y travaille, debout, concentrée sur sa tâche. Elle porte une robe bleue et un tablier beige, contrastant délicatement avec l’ambiance chaude qui émane de la pièce. Ses cheveux sont attachés en chignon. Autour d’elle, des ustensiles de cuisine, des casseroles et de la vaisselle sont disposés soigneusement.
La palette de couleurs dominée par des tons bruns et chauds enveloppe la scène d'une atmosphère de chaleur, renforçant l’impression d’intimité et de vie quotidienne. L’ensemble dégage une sensation de confort, presque palpable.
Le tableau a bénéficié d’un travail de restauration, (nettoyage, vernis…) il s’agit d’une huile sur carton qui a été fixée sur un support de bois et encadré dans la cadre ancien en bois d’origine.
Dimensions : 65 × 50 cm sans cadre et 74 × 60 cm avec le cadre.

The painting has benefited from restoration work (cleaning, varnish, etc.); it is an oil on cardboard that has been mounted on a wooden support and framed in the original antique wooden frame.
